Alma do Mar started as an idea when I moved to Madeira. I was always in the ocean, swimming, diving, jumping off rocks; and every time, my bikini would fall off. I wanted something that looked good but actually stayed in place.

Here, I was so inspired by how people moved, hiking, surfing, swimming,  always active, but not in a gym. It felt natural, like movement was just part of life. I wanted to create something that captured that feeling.

When I lived in the U.S., I could never find bikinis I really loved. I’d always order ones from Brazil or other countries because I was obsessed with the beautiful colors, bold prints, and fun, confident style.

Alma do Mar is a mix of all of that, the freedom of the ocean, the colors and energy of Madeira, and the effortless, joyful spirit of Brazil. Swimwear made to move with you, and made for a life by the sea.
